Instructions

1. Open the Gmail app on your device.
2. Tap the Menu icon in the top-left of the screen.
   
3. Scroll down to Settings.
   
4. Tap on the email address that you would like to edit.
   
5. Under Server Settings section, click on Incoming Settings, update password then Done.
   
   
   ONLY update password for your Outgoing Settings (SMTP) Server name, if Server name is the same as Incoming Settings, update password then Done
   
   
6. You have successfully update email password for your account.

Instructions

1. Open Samsung Mail app, then Tap on the Hamburger Icon for your account.
   
2. Tap on Settings Icon.
   
3. Next Tap on your Email account in the list, in this example conetix@yourdomainname.help.
   
4. Scroll to the bottom, under Advanced settings Tap on Server Settings.
   
5. Update Incoming Email Password here.
   
6. To update Outgoing Email Password, scroll down to the section Require authentication to send emails and update password, then Done.
   
7. You have successfully updated your Email password in Samsung App.

Instructions

1. Open Outlook app on device and Tap on Mail icon.
   
2. Bottom left of screen Tap on Settings Icon.
   
3. Tap on your IMAP/POP Email account, in this example conetix@yourdomainname.help.
   
4. Next Tap on Reset Account.
   
5. You will be prompted, Tap on Continue.
   
6. After the Outlook App restarts you should be prompted with Sign in screen, Tap on OK.
   
7. Enter New Password for Incoming Email Server, scroll down and enter New Password for Outgoing Email Server, then Tap Done and Tick icon top of screen.
8. You have successfully updated email password for your email account.

This support article describes how to update your IMAP/POP email account password on an iPhone.

Instructions

1. Open the Settings App.
   
2. Go to the Mail setting.
   
3. Select Accounts.
   
4. Select your existing mailbox.
   
5. Select Account under IMAP.
   
6. Enter the new password in Incoming Mail Server.
   
7. Select SMTP under Outgoing Mail Server.
   
8. Select your outgoing server under Primary Server.
   
9. Enter the new password.
   
10. Press Done to verify the new credentials in Outgoing.
    
11. Back in the Incoming settings, press Done again to finish verification.

If you get a password wrong error again you need to do the following.
– Check your password is correct, you may be able to do this via your webmail.
– Reset password with your webhost and retry.

If your password is correct you will need to remove the account from your iphone and setup as a new account. Apple Mail App frequently has issues on updates and requires a re setup.

Instructions

1. Open Outlook App.
2. In the top menu, click on Tools then Accounts…
   
3. Click on your email account on the left (if more than one account exists), then update the Password field with your new/current password.
   If your Outgoing server is the same as your Incoming server, click on More Options…
   
   Update the Password field, then click OK.
   
4. Click on the red cross to save and close.
   

This support article describes how to update your saved IMAP/POP email account password in Microsoft’s Mail app included with Windows 10/11. You may need to do this if you have recently changed your email account password.

Instructions

1. Open the Windows Mail app.
2. In the left-hand navigation panel, Right Click on your Email account, then select Account Settings.
   
   
3. Scenario 1:
   If “Change mailbox sync settings” is greyed out, updating the Password at this window will update both Incoming/Outgoing password.
   
   
   Scenario 2:
   If the “Change mailbox sync settings” option is not greyed out, update the Password field with your new/current password, then click on Change mailbox sync settings.
   
   
   
   Next click on Advanced mailbox settings to show some additional settings.
   
   
   If “Use the same user name and password for sending email” is checked, simply click Done and Save – no other steps are required.
   
   
   Otherwise, if “Use the same user name and password for sending email” is unchecked,
   and “Outgoing server user name” is your Conetix-supplied email address, update the Password field with your new/current password, then click Done and Save.
   
   
   Please note that some customers may be using their Internet Provider’s Outgoing (SMTP) Server – if you know that this is the case for yourself, or if the “Outgoing server user name” is a non-Conetix-supplied email address (eg, @bigpond.com), simply click Cancel and Save, since the Outgoing server password won’t need updating in this case.
   
4. You have successfully updated your email password in Windows Mail.

This support article describes how to update the saved password for your IMAP/POP email account in the Thunderbird email client. You may need to do this if you have recently changed your email account password.

Instructions

1. Open the Thunderbird Email client.
2. Click the Settings icon in the bottom-left of the window.
   
   
3. Next click Privacy & Security –> Saved Passwords…
   
   
4. The Saved Logins window will appear, which is where you will update the saved Password for your Conetix-supplied Email Address.
   In this example we are updating the password for the Email Address of conetix@yourdomainname.help
   
   
5. Click on the Email/Username so it is highlighted, then click Show Passwords.
   
   You will be prompted to confirm to show passwords – click Yes.
   
   
6. Next, double-click in the Password field next to your email address (Username), delete the previously saved password, then type your new/current password in.
   
   Please note that some customers may be using their Internet Provider’s Outgoing Server, in which case the saved Outgoing password does not need to be updated.
   Only update the password for the Outgoing server if the Username is your Conetix-supplied Email Address.
   
   Incoming server will start with either imap:// or pop://
   Outgoing Server will start with smtp://
   
   Once finished, click Close to save your changes.
   
   
7. You have now successfully updated the saved password for your email account. If necessary, you may need to restart Thunderbird before the changes take effect.

This support article describes how to update your saved IMAP/POP email account password in Microsoft Outlook 2013 and newer.
You may need to do this if you have recently changed your email account password.

Instructions

1. Open Outlook and click on File.
   
   
2. Next click Info,  Account Settings then click Manage Profiles:
   
   If you do not see the Manage Profiles option, you may need to quit out of Outlook then proceed to Windows Start Menu -> Search for & open Control Panel, then click Mail (may say “Microsoft Outlook” next to it).
   
3. Click on Email Accounts…
   
   
4. Select the email account then click Change:
   
   
5. Under Logon Information in the Password field, delete all ********** and then enter the new updated password, then click Next.
   
6. Outlook will test the new password and settings – you will receive two green ticks if successful.
   
   
7. Click Finish to save.

In this article, you will be guided through updating your email settings on the Samsung Email App.
The App comes Installed on most Samsung Phones by default, If it is not installed it can be downloaded onto the Phone from the Google Play Store

To add an email address to the Samsung Mail App we have the following process: Setup IMAP/POP Emails on the Samsung Email App

If you run into any issues using the Samsung default mail app we recommend downloading the Google Gmail App or the Microsoft Outlook Email App

Instructions

1. Open the Samsung Email App.
2. Once opened, tap on the Three lines in the top left next to Inbox:
   
3. Next, tap the Cog Wheel/Settings that is in the top right of the screen:
   
4. Now tap your Email address at the top of the screen:
   
5. Scroll down to Advanced settings and tap on Server settings:
   
6. In Server settings, there will be 3 sections where server connection settings can be changed.
   For the following sections, please see Conetix Recommend Email Settings
   • The first section is for Account Details, where you can update the saved password
   • Next, will be the Incoming server settings, here you can edit the incoming server, the Security Type Port and the IMAP path Prefix:
     
   • The last section is the Outgoing server settings, here you edit the outgoing server, the Security type, Port and if Authentication is Required, if the password has changed you will need to update it here as well:
     
7. Once the settings have been updated tap Done and the settings will be checked.
   • If successful you will be taken back to the previous page, and you can tap on the arrow in the top left twice to return to your emails.
   • If it fails a message saying such will pop up, you will need to tap OK and check the setting as per the article linked in Step 6.
