Overview
When setting up your Conetix-hosted email accounts on Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc.), it is possible to download an automatic configuration file from within Plesk in order to streamline the setup process.
Retrieving Auto-configuration Link
- Log in to Plesk via the Conetix Control Panel.
- If your emails are hosted on a VPS, log in to Plesk via the VPS’s URL and proceed to the applicable Subscription.
- If your emails are hosted on a VPS, log in to Plesk via the VPS’s URL and proceed to the applicable Subscription.
- Navigate to the Mail tab of the domain that your emails are hosted under.
- Click on the “info” icon next to the email account that you want to set up.
- Select the “iOS Mail on iPhone or iPad” option (though this will also work for Mac computers).
- Proceed to either scan the QR code, or click on the link below it.
Setting Up On iOS
- Open the link, or scan the previously provided QR Code.
- When prompted, tap Allow to have your device download the auto-configuration profile to your device.
- Open the Settings app, and tap on the Profile Downloaded option.
- Tap Allow to download the profile.
- Then, tap the Install button to install the downloaded profile.
- If prompted, enter your device’s passcode and tap the following Install option again to proceed.
- Enter your email account password, and tap Next.
- If successful, you should be shown the below screen.
Tap Done to complete the setup.
Your email account will now be accessible from the default iOS Mail app.
Setting Up On MacOS
- Open the link previously provided by Plesk.
- The default Apple Mail app will open with a prompt. Click Continue to proceed.
- Enter your email account password, and click Install to proceed.
Your email account should now be set up and accessible within the Apple Mail application.
