Overview
In Plesk, you have the ability to configure the spam filter for your email addresses via Spam Assassin. Spam Assassin allows you to block or allow emails from a specified email address or domain. It also allows you to customise the Spam settings per mailbox.
Blacklisting is used when you don’t want to allow anything through. Whitelisting is the opposite you would use it to allow items through.
Instructions
- Log into the Plesk panel for your hosting subscription.
- In Plesk, click the Mail option from the left-hand menu
- Then, click on the email address that you want to change the spam settings for:
- Click on “Spam Filter”:
- Next, click “Show Advanced Settings” to show the options for white and black listing.
- Here you can add the email address/domain to the Black/White list:
There are 2 ways that would be used to add a user or domain to the Spam Filter;
You can add email addresses such as; and to block/allow all emails from a domain it would be; *@domain.com
- Click OK once done.
- Monitor your emails for a few days to confirm the emails are being blocked or allowed through.
