Overview

This article describes how to enable the PHP directive –  Short Open Tags. While the usage of short open tags is strongly discouraged,  sometimes it may be necessary to enable for older code.

Warning: Any software, code or plugin which still uses short open tags may be potentially well out-of-date and therefore a high security risk. Conetix recommends upgrading or replacing any component which still uses them.
