Overview

Sometimes you need to check whether an email has been sent or received successfully – this article will step you through how to review the email logs in your hosting plan.

These logs will show the status of email sent or received by you email accounts setup in Plesk. There are also options for filtering emails and getting detailed information on how an email was handled by the server.

Instructions

  1. Login into Plesk via the Conetix Control Panel.
  2. In “Websites & Domains”, navigate to the mail tab of the required domain name.

  3. Select the “Track Email Delivery” option.

  4. Run a Refresh to ensure the most recent log entries are shown.

  5. A list of all messages that exist for your domain across the log files will now be shown.
  6. You can search for senders or recipients in the “Find email…” field. Just next to it, you can also filter specific statuses.

  7. To view detailed information on how the mail server handled the message, select the “Show details” option to the right of the message.

  8. This will show the entire log entry for the selected message, including whether it passed the SPF, DKIM, and DMARC checks.

Note that for emails you send – while the server can track if the email was sent successfully from this end, it can’t see what happened to the email after it was handed off to the recipient’s server.
