Overview

The following support article demonstrates how to create a new FTP account in a subscription within Plesk.

Instructions

  1. Log into Plesk either via the Conetix Control Panel, or via your VPS login page.
  2. If you access Plesk from a VPS, click on “Domains” and then the domain for which you want to create a new FTP account. For this example we are using conetixtest.com.
If you access Plesk via your Conetix Control Panel, simply proceed to the next step instead.

  5. Enter an FTP account name (the username), and enter a password in the “Password” and “Confirm Password” fields and click “OK“.
If you only want an FTP user to be able to access a certain directory, you can specify this in the “Home Directory” field.
Leaving the Home Directory with a “/” value will mean the user will have access all sites hosted under that subscription/hosting plan.
