Overview
This article describes how to reset the password of an existing WordPress admin user for a site using the WordPress toolkit in Plesk. This can be handy if you’ve forgotten your password, or the email address used for WordPress password recovery is no longer correct.
Instructions
- Log into Plesk via your Conetix Account.
- Click on the ‘WordPress‘ option from the left-hand menu.

- Under the Website you want to reset the password for, expand the site card and click on ‘Setup‘.

- You will be presented with a ‘Setup‘ menu which will let you change the password of an Administrator user.
- Select the Administrator account you wish to change the password for (if more than one Administrator exists).
- Click on the ‘Generate‘ button to create a secure password. You can press the ‘eye’ icon to view the password. If you prefer to set your own password, you can instead type your own in instead.
- Click ‘Change‘ to save the new password.

- You can now log into WordPress using the newly changed password either on the normal WordPress Login page, or via the WordPress Toolkit by clicking the ‘Login‘ button.
