iPhone – Setup IMAP Mail Account

Overview

This article details the process of setting up your IMAP email in the Apple Mail App on an iPhone.

Before adding the new mailbox, ensure any previous setups using the same email address have been removed. The iPhone Mail App has been known to not work properly when there are multiple instances of the same mailbox setup.

Instructions

1. Open the Settings App:
   
2. Go to the Mail settings:
   
3. Select Accounts:
   
4. Select Add Account:
   
5. Select Other:
   
6. Select Add Mail Account:
   
7. Enter your name, email, password, and a description for the email:
   
8. Enter the Incoming and Outgoing Hostname and your Email Address and Password:
   
9. You will then be asked if you would like to associate other services with the email, leave only Mail selected and select Save:
   
10. Once saved, the email Address will be added to the iPhone, and you will see emails propagating in the Mail App.
