Gmail app – Update IMAP/POP Email password

Overview

This support article describes how to update your IMAP/POP email account password in Gmail app.

Instructions

1. Open the Gmail app on your device.
2. Tap the Menu icon in the top-left of the screen.
   
3. Scroll down to Settings.
   
4. Tap on the email address that you would like to edit.
   
5. Under Server Settings section, click on Incoming Settings, update password then Done.
   
   
   ONLY update password for your Outgoing Settings (SMTP) Server name, if Server name is the same as Incoming Settings, update password then Done
   
   
6. You have successfully update email password for your account.
